Internationally known for site specific investigating contemporary urban space photography, and photographs of human behavior in relation to powerful natural beauty (The Dolomites, Alps) now shifts his attention to the Italian coastline of the Adriatic . Barbieri, a native of Italy chose a helicopter as his platform to shoot from. He traveled nearly 250 miles along the coast from Vasto to Ravenna. What he  photographs is a dance of amusement and beauty set against the blue Adriatic.
