The Human Rights Watch Film Festival will be presented June 10-19 with 18 topical and provocative feature film and three special interactive programs that grapple with the challenges of defending human rights around the world today.  Now in its 27th edition, the festival is co-presented by Film Society of Lincoln Center and IFC Center. Most screenings will be followed with in-depth Q&A discussions with filmmakers and Human Rights Watch experts. Above photo is from the film "Sonita" winner of the 2016 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award for World Cinema Documentary, "Sonita" is about a determined and animated Afghan teem living in Tehran, who dreams of being a famous rapper. This film plays June 19th at 7 pm.
