Mountains, in Chinese legends, are the pillars that hold up the sky. Veneration for the vast beauty of mountains has taken many forms in Chinese culture, including retreat from society, art and ritualistic practices. The exhibition is divided into three sections with 63 photographs by 26 contemporary photographers presenting the geography, history, culture, life and art that is associated with or derived from mountains.
